e2 engineers Announces Expanded Leadership Structure to Support Growth

As e2 engineers continues to evolve across new markets, project types, and geographic regions, the firm has expanded its leadership structure to strengthen operational consistency, technical collaboration, and client service. The appointments of Trey Zaharek, Jared Nash, and Corey Hollmann to new leadership roles reflect e2’s long-term commitment to delivering a high-quality, consistent experience for both clients and project teams.

Trey Zaharek has been appointed Director of Operations. Transitioning from a technical engineering role into operations has shifted Trey’s focus from project-specific calculations to optimizing the firm’s most valuable commodity: time. In this role, he works proactively to identify challenges before they arise, following a philosophy of ‘Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance.’ By looking down the pipeline to anticipate resource needs and implementing user-friendly systems, he provides project teams with a clear, workable plan for success.

“Creating this position was ultimately about driving consistency across the entire firm,” Trey said. “As our project volume grows, it is vital that the client receives the same consistent product and level of care across the board, both top-down and side-to-side. When everyone understands the e2 way, the operation runs smoother, and we can offer a superior product.”

In parallel, Corey Hollmann and Jared Nash have stepped into Studio Leadership roles, shifting their focus from individual technical production to the collective output and development of their teams. A primary goal of this transition is to mentor staff engineers, providing them with the space to find creative solutions while guiding them toward taking full ownership of their projects as future Project Managers.

Their leadership extends beyond staff development. By creating stronger communication channels, improving project oversight, and encouraging collaboration across teams, they help ensure projects move efficiently while maintaining e2’s technical standards.

“The biggest shift has been focusing on the results of the team rather than individual performance,” Corey said. “By fostering a culture of open communication and peer-to-peer collaboration, we ensure that every engineer has a clear direction forward, even as project priorities and deadlines shift.”

Jared echoed this sentiment, noting that his goal is to serve as a facilitator for his team. “Success is about making everyone’s life a little easier and resulting in fewer ‘fire drills’ because everyone is on the same page,” Jared said. “It’s about forecasting issues and planning before they become problems, ensuring we get projects across the finish line while respecting the client’s goals and budget.”

The new leadership structure reinforces e2’s commitment to quality, consistency, and long-term client service. By leveraging senior leadership as a firmwide technical resource for QA/QC, e2 creates additional layers of oversight that help maintain a high standard of engineering across every project, regardless of size or complexity.

Operational success is about more than just keeping projects moving. It’s about developing relationships, both within the team and with our clients, and creating an environment where our engineers are supported as they grow into leaders themselves.

By investing in leadership development, operational excellence, and technical collaboration, e2 engineers is building on more than two decades of experience while creating a stronger foundation for the future. The expanded leadership team positions the firm to continue delivering responsive service, thoughtful engineering solutions, and the collaborative approach that clients have come to expect from e2.
