Our Team

We were trying to improve our project scheduling and overall efficiency. As a structural engineering firm serving as sub-consultants, we have many projects coming through the door. We want to ensure we are meeting deliverables while fine-tuning our standard operating procedures to promote an emphasis on early schematic design, lead to improved client communication and ultimately an enhanced client experience when working with e2.

Consistency across the board. We have two offices at the moment, I want to ensure that the client receives the same consistent product and level of care across the board, both top-down, but also side to side. When everyone understands the e2 way, the operation runs smoother and we can offer a superior product.

It’s a support role focused on identifying problems before they happen. I follow the “five Ps”: Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance. By being proactive rather than reactive, I can anticipate where to allocate resources. This not only provides clarity for our engineers, but also our clients. While our engineers are often dialed into the task directly in front of them, I’m looking down the pipeline to see what’s coming and help them come up with a workable plan for success.

As an engineer, you are focused on the technical side of things. In operations, I’m still problem-solving, but the focus has shifted to efficiency and enhancement. The main constraint is time—it’s a commodity, and it’s my job is to figure out how to use it most effectively.
