Structural work at the Lofts at 12 Canal Street included repointing of the brick masonry façade, installation of a new interior stair, and modifications to the roof framing to support the proposed renovations. The 11,000 SF, 2-story building provides 4 commercial units on the first level and 7 condos on the second floor. It is located near the Downtown Westerly, RI National Register Historic District and is constructed of historic steel and concrete slab systems.
